Uche Nwosu, a former Chief of Staff to ex-governor Rochas Okorocha, is calling on former Imo State Governor Emeka Ihedioha and other PDP defectors to join the All Progressives Congress (APC).
As an APC leader in Imo State, Nwosu assured Ihedioha of a significant opportunity to collaborate with Governor Hope Uzodimma and President Bola Tinubu at the national level.
Ihedioha’s departure from the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) on April 23, after being affiliated with the party since its inception in 1998, cited the PDP’s failure to institute internal reforms and provide credible opposition. Nwosu urged Ihedioha and other former PDP members to align with the APC, emphasizing the party’s commitment to development and progress under Uzodimma’s leadership.
Speaking in Abuja, Nwosu highlighted the importance of joining the ruling party, stressing the potential for collaboration with key APC figures for the advancement of the state and the nation at large. He praised Ihedioha and others for their decision to leave the PDP, considering it a significant loss for the party.
Nwosu emphasized that joining the APC is the most progressive step for Ihedioha and other former PDP members, urging them to align their political aspirations with the APC’s agenda. He expressed confidence that their inclusion in the APC would foster unity and cooperation toward achieving developmental goals in Imo State and beyond.
