Cosmos Ndukwe, a former presidential aspirant in the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), has resigned from the party. In a letter addressed to the Chairman of the PDP Item C Ward in Bende Local Government Area of Abia State, and copied to the State Chairman and Acting National Chairman of the party, Ndukwe cited personal reasons and reflection on his current aspirations for his decision.

“After careful consideration, I have come to the conclusion that opting out of PDP is the best course of action for me at this time,” Ndukwe explained.

The ex-Deputy Speaker of the Abia State House of Assembly expressed gratitude to the PDP leadership for the opportunities to serve in different capacities. “I want to express my appreciation to you, the ward executive committee, and all members of the PDP Abia state for the support and camaraderie extended to me throughout my association with the party. While I may be stepping away from my formal role, I remain committed to the principles of democracy and the progress of our great state, Abia,” he stated.
