The Edo Police Command has announced that Musa Suleman, who posted inappropriate photos of his four-year-old daughter online, will soon be arraigned in court.

Chidi Nwabuzor, the spokesperson for the state police command, confirmed this in a telephone interview with Newsmen on Tuesday.

Suleman was arrested on Sunday after posting half-naked pictures of his daughter on her now-deactivated Instagram account, @officialsarah_ig. The images showed the child posing provocatively and engaging in adult content.

In a viral video, Suleman admitted during a police interrogation that he managed the account and aimed to make his daughter famous on social media. “I was the one that posted those pictures on my daughter’s page. I do not mean to harm anybody. I am just used to watching content creators and comic videos online, but she is too small to engage in such, so I decided to train her as a model. She wears model clothes, and I want her to be a celebrity,” Suleman said.

Nwabuzor stated that Suleman would be arraigned in court after the police concluded their investigation. He also mentioned that the child is now under the care of the Gender-Based Violence Unit of the Edo State Government, which will oversee her upbringing and welfare.

“The suspect will be arraigned in court soon. The case has been transferred to the Gender-Based Violence Unit of the Edo State Government so they can take care of and nurture the girl. The unit will investigate and conduct tests to confirm if the minor had been involved in any sexual activity,” Nwabuzor said.

Before deactivation, Sarah’s Instagram page contained posts promoting nudity and inappropriate behavior, including activities like attending clubs, photo sessions in bikinis, and seductive dancing.

Suleman had claimed that his daughter’s mentor was Malaysian influencer and adult movie actress Siew Pui Yi, known as Ms. Puiyi. He often mentioned this in his posts. He also uploaded a provocative picture of his daughter with two unidentified men, captioned, “Hanging out with men; the kids stay at home. Yoo!.”

Suleman defended his actions, stating he received no support for his passion from social media users, prompting him to “promote” his child’s modeling career. “In Nigeria, we cannot do comedy because there is no helper; this is what we can do. Help promote a model,” he said.

Nwabuzor emphasized that the police took swift action to arrest Suleman after his activities were exposed and assured the public that justice would be served.

“The Edo State Police Command is aware of the trending video of a child about four years old, conspicuously naked and used as adult content in an undisclosed hotel in Auchi, Edo State.

“The Commissioner of Police, Edo State Command, Funsho Adegboye, immediately deployed a tactical team to arrest the suspect and his accomplices. Within 12 hours, the father of the girl was arrested, and the investigation has commenced. Further details will be made public.

“The CP appeals to the good citizens of Nigeria to remain calm, assuring that justice will be served,” Nwabuzor concluded.
