The Imo State Police Command has called on residents to disregard the unauthorized sit-at-home order issued by the outlawed Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) and its armed affiliate, the Eastern Security Network (ESN).

In a statement signed by ASP Okoye Henry, the Police Public Relations Officer, on behalf of the Commissioner, CP Aboki Danjuma, assured citizens of their safety, emphasizing that adequate security measures are in place to prevent any threats or attacks.

CP Danjuma emphasized that law-abiding residents should go about their daily activities without fear, as a robust security presence has been established across the state.

Security operatives from various agencies, including the Police, Military, Civil Defense, Road Safety, Immigration, and Fire Service, have been strategically deployed to conduct confidence-building patrols and operations showcasing their strength across the 27 local government areas (LGAs) of Imo State.

The Police Command warned individuals against attempting to enforce the illegal sit-at-home order, stating that any such actions will be met with the full force of the law. The Command reiterated its commitment to maintaining the improved peace and security in the state.
