Nollywood actor Jim Iyke has opened up about his difficulties in forming lasting friendships, attributing it to his rapid personal growth and inability to tolerate grudges. He shared these insights during an appearance on the “Deep Dive” podcast hosted by comedian Teju Babyface.

Iyke explained that his propensity for growth occurs at such a rapid pace that many people find it hard to keep up. “We don’t hang around emotions. We don’t have time for it. That’s why I can’t be friends with everybody,” he said.

He emphasized the need for friends who can handle his constant transformation. “Who I was yesterday is different from who I am today. So it’s not everybody that can keep up with that. I need somebody that I won’t call for 10 weeks and he is not in his feelings.”

However, Iyke assured that when it truly matters, he will be there for his friends. “When you call me and I sense that it’s not even a function of what you tell me, I sense that you need me, I’m going to move every mountain.”

Jim Iyke’s candid revelation highlights the challenges of balancing personal growth with maintaining close relationships, underscoring the importance of understanding and flexible friendships.
