A tragic incident unfolded at the Federal University Dutse (FUD) in Jigawa State, where a 200-level student from the Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences reportedly threw her newborn baby from the upper floor of the female hostel after giving birth.

According to a student at the university, the occupants of the Morocco Female Hostel woke up on Monday to discover the lifeless body of the newborn on the ground. “Early Monday morning, we found the newborn baby girl dead on the floor, thrown from a three-story building,” she said, adding that the mother likely acted out of desperation after giving birth out of wedlock.
