It was a celebration of excellence and political pragmatism as the National Vice Chairman of South East Zone of the All Progressives Congress, APC, Dr. Ijeomah Arodiogbu, heartily commended a Nigerian in the diaspora, Victoria Onyinye Joseph, over her election as the Deputy Mayor of Basildon Borough Council by her fellow Council members.

This remarkable event took place at Basildon City, Essex, United Kingdom, on Thursday, 23rd May, 2024.

Arodiogbu who gave the commendation through his Special Adviser, Engr. Chike Emenike, in Abuja, during the week, said he was very enthused of the political height attained by the young Igbo breed.

The APC National Officer observed with delight that “the young Nigerian-born politician has joined the growing list of our citizens in the diaspora, making our nation proud through their rich achievements. She indeed a positive image for Nigeria”.

Arodiogbu, who said he believes in hardwork, excellence and good conduct, affirmed, “I want to commend the young woman for her remarkable achievement. She is a worthy ambassador in the diaspora for our country. And I’m particularly proud that this Imo State born young British politician, is an Imo State citizen. She is a native of my community, Arondizuogu, in Ideato North Local Government Area of Imo State”.

He remarked that, “as I have noted elsewhere in the past, in a similar occasion, I want to call upon our young women and men, the youth of our nation, both at home and in the diaspora, to emulate Councilor Victoria Onyinye Joseph.
