Damini Ogulu, the Grammy-winning Nigerian singer known as Burna Boy, has made history with his ‘I Told Them’ tour, becoming the African artiste with the highest-grossing tour to date.
According to Touring Data, an American tour statistics company, Burna Boy’s tour has grossed $15.5 million from 15 reported shows, with revenues from an additional six concerts yet to be disclosed.
Highlighting his achievements, Burna Boy also secured the record for the highest-grossing arena concert by an African artiste in the United States, earning $1.725 million at Capital One Arena in Washington on March 7, 2024, surpassing his previous record set at TD Garden in Boston.
Moreover, Burna Boy’s concert at the Hard Rock Live in Hollywood on March 12, with an average ticket price of $172.76, became the most expensive concert by an African artiste in history.
His Canadian tour leg also performed exceptionally well, grossing $5.7 million from six shows, marking it as the highest-grossing Canadian tour by an African artiste.
