Bendel Insurance has voiced their disappointment following a 2-0 loss to Bayelsa United in their final game of the 2023/24 Nigeria Premier Football League season. The match, held at the Samuel Ogbemudia Stadium in Benin on Sunday, saw Bayelsa United’s Okorie Ekeson and Tekena Garando score, sealing the victory for the visitors.

Bendel Insurance described the defeat as a bitter experience, particularly since Bayelsa United was facing relegation.

“It was an unpleasant experience for us on the last day of the Premier League football season in Benin,” the club wrote on their X account. “Losing 2-0 to a relegation-threatened Bayelsa United leaves us with a heavy, dull moment in the camp.”
