Afrobeats sensation David Adeleke, popularly known as Davido, shared a surprising revelation from his father, Deji Adeleke, during a chat at his wedding on Tuesday. The ‘OBO’ hitmaker disclosed that his father once had a vision of him transitioning from his current music career to becoming a gospel singer.

“In the morning, daddy would say, ‘Davido, I had a vision about you.’ I said, ‘What vision?’ He said, ‘I had a vision that you ended your music as a gospel singer’,” Davido recounted.

Davido’s wedding at Eko Hotel and Suites was a star-studded event, attracting dignitaries and celebrities from various walks of life. Notable attendees included his uncle, Osun State Governor Ademola Adeleke, as well as the governors of Lagos and Abia States, Babajide Sanwo-Olu and Alex Otti. Former President Olusegun Obasanjo, former Akwa Ibom State Governor Udom Emmanuel, and the Ooni of Ife, HRH Adeyeye Enitan Ogunwusi, also graced the occasion.
