Veteran Nollywood actress Joke Silva has dispelled the rumors circulating about her husband, legendary actor Olu Jacobs, stating that he is very much alive and well.
This is not the first time such rumors have surfaced on social media. Responding to an inquiry via SMS, Joke Silva confirmed, “My husband is alive and doing just fine.”
A close family source, who preferred to remain anonymous, shared with Vanguard that the President of the Actors Guild of Nigeria (AGN) had spoken with Joke Silva for over an hour, with no mention of any distressing news. “Someone who has lost a husband wouldn’t be so chatty and cheerful on the phone,” the source noted.
Additionally, family associate Betty Irabor also refuted the rumor. Channels TV further laid the matter to rest by airing a segment featuring Olu Jacobs himself, who confirmed he was alive and even planning a visit to Ikoyi Club that evening.
