The Imo State government officially transferred an electronically-powered tollgate at Sam Mbakwe International Cargo Airport, Owerri, to the Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria (FAAN) yesterday. Governor Hope Uzodimma presided over the handover ceremony, emphasizing the significance of the new facility in enhancing service quality for airport patrons.

Governor Uzodimma explained that the tollgate, provided by the state government, aims to not only improve the airport’s aesthetics but also facilitate better traffic management in and out of the airport. He expressed hope that the new infrastructure would motivate FAAN to continue delivering high-quality services to both Imo residents and other Nigerians using the airport.
