Sheila, the estranged wife of Israel Afeare, better known as Israel DMW and logistics manager for singer Davido, has opened up about her decision to end their marriage. In a recent podcast interview with her friend Ginika, a clip of which went viral on social media on Wednesday, Sheila shared her thoughts and feelings about the separation.
Reflecting on her decision, Sheila expressed no regrets about ending her marriage, despite the emotional turmoil it brought. She stated, “I did not regret any decision I have taken because it was all bound to happen. I believe strongly that God is in charge of all that happens in our lives, whether positive or negative; there’s a master planner behind everything.”
However, Sheila admitted that certain aspects of the divorce saga were particularly painful. “I’ve had my moments of sadness. I feel so bad about the whole thing, especially the way my friend and my mum were dragged into it. That has hurt me. But generally, I have zero regrets,” she revealed.
The couple had tied the knot on October 20, 2022, in a traditional ceremony held in Benin City. Their union, however, lasted barely eight months, ending amid allegations of domestic violence and infidelity from both parties.
Sheila’s candid revelations shed light on the personal struggles and strength behind her decision, highlighting her belief in divine guidance and her resolve to move forward without regrets.
