The Super Eagles of Nigeria are set to commence their journey towards the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations with an away fixture against Libya. The draw for the qualifiers took place in Johannesburg, South Africa, on Thursday, placing Nigeria in Group D alongside Libya, Benin Republic, and Rwanda.

The qualifiers will kick off with the first two matchdays scheduled between September 2 and 10. The remaining fixtures will be held in October and November. The Super Eagles last faced Libya in a 2019 Africa Cup of Nations qualifier, securing a 3-2 victory.

To advance to the AFCON 2025 finals, which will be hosted by Morocco from December 21, 2025, to January 18, 2026, Nigeria will need to finish in the top two positions in their group.

The Super Eagles are determined to perform strongly and secure their spot in the prestigious tournament, aiming to bring glory to the nation once again.
