Controversial reality star DeeOne has encouraged veteran Nollywood actress Genevieve Nnaji to embrace her age gracefully.
Reacting to a trending video of Genevieve enjoying Ayra Starr’s “21,” DeeOne pointed out that despite many Nigerians’ claims of her being ageless, she is indeed ageing. He believes that Nigerians are misleading the actress with their constant praises.
In a recent video shared on his Instagram account, DeeOne addressed Genevieve directly, urging her to accept and celebrate her age.
“Every time Genevieve’s video or picture surfaces, people always say she looks so young. That’s a lie. If you want to know whether she is old or young, it’s not by face or pictures where they usually wear makeup, it is either by the back of her hand or the backs of her legs,” DeeOne said.
He challenged Genevieve to post photos of the back of her hands and legs if she is truly as young as people claim. He added, “Madam Genevieve, you look your age. Don’t let them deceive you. Nigerians are deceitful. You look your age, and there is nothing wrong with it. I am already growing grey hair. There’s nothing wrong with old age. Embrace it. Take up elderly people’s roles in movies. Play mother and grandmother roles.”
DeeOne’s message underscores the importance of accepting and embracing the natural process of ageing, especially in an industry often fixated on youth and beauty.
