The Made in Nigeria Project Office Abuja has announced the highly anticipated Made in Nigeria Expo Commonwealth Week 2024, an international event aimed at promoting Nigerian products and culture on the global stage. The event will take place in three different locations: Apia, Samoa from 21st to 25th October 2024; Auckland, New Zealand on 26th and 27th October 2024; and Sydney, Australia from 28th to 30th October 2024.
This expo, themed “One Resilient Common Future,” will feature a series of events, including the Nigeria-Australia Pacific Business Week, art, theater, stage performances, and cultural exchanges. The focus will be on fostering collaboration and partnerships to boost Nigeria’s economic growth and international presence.
Nwabueze Buchi George, the Executive Director and National Coordinator of the Made in Nigeria Project Office Abuja, emphasized the importance of this event.
“The Made in Nigeria Expo Commonwealth Week 2024 is a pivotal opportunity for Nigerian businesses to showcase their products to a global audience. By collaborating with international partners, we aim to enhance the marketability and competitiveness of Nigerian products worldwide,” he said.
The expo will feature several key events:
- Commonwealth Fashion Week & Awards: Highlighting the best of Nigerian fashion and design, this event will celebrate creativity and innovation in the industry.
- Commonwealth Food Expo: A platform for Nigerian food producers to present their culinary delights and agricultural products.
- WEI Forum Women: Focused on empowering women in business, this forum will discuss strategies for growth and development.
- World Economic & Investment Forum: A gathering of global investors and business leaders to discuss economic opportunities and investment in Nigeria.
- Nigeria National Day Awards: Recognizing outstanding contributions to the promotion of Nigerian culture and products.
