American movie star Emma Roberts has candidly discussed her past relationships with fellow actors Garrett Hedlund and Cody John, revealing why she has decided not to date actors anymore.
Roberts began dating John in 2022, shortly after her split from Hedlund, but the relationship soon ended. In a recent interview with Flaunt, Roberts explained the difficulties of being romantically involved with another actor.
“It’s hard, I think, for two actors to be together. I’m trying to think if I’ve seen it done successfully,” she shared. Roberts noted that her previous partners leaned towards method acting, which added strain to their relationships. “The actors I’ve been with border on method actors, and that is something that I think is extremely difficult to be in a relationship with — at least for me, especially the characters that they were playing.”
Reflecting on her experiences, she concluded, “One day the veil was lifted and I didn’t want to date actors anymore.”
