Linus Williams, known in the crypto world as BLord, has been arrested by the Nigeria Police Force in Abuja. His arrest comes amid serious allegations including cryptocurrency fraud, terrorism financing, and involvement in internet fraud through his companies.

Force spokesperson Muyiwa Adejobi confirmed the arrest, stating that complaints had been filed against several of BLord’s businesses, including Blord Group, Blord Real Estate Ltd, Blord Jetpaye Limited, and Billpoint Technology.

“These offences range from cryptocurrency fraud and aiding internet fraud to terrorism funding and failing to comply with regulatory standards,” Adejobi explained. “We are committed to conducting a thorough investigation to ensure the cyberspace remains safe and secure.”

He also clarified that the arrest was not initiated by a petition from Martins Otse, known as VeryDarkMan, who had been speculated to be involved in the case.

The police are currently looking into the allegations, and Adejobi assured the public of due diligence in the investigation process.
