Amid ongoing nationwide protests over economic hardship, an unidentified man made a dramatic statement in Lagos by stripping naked during a demonstration on Thursday. The man was filmed walking through Ojota, joining other protesters and singing “Solidarity forever” in a viral video that has spread across social media.

The protests, which began on August 1, 2024, under the hashtag #EndBadGovernanceInNigeria, have seen citizens across the country express their frustration with the current economic conditions and governance. In Lagos, demonstrators defied a court order limiting their protests to specific areas, taking to streets, roads, and Gani Fawehinmi Freedom Park to voice their grievances.
