Solomon Buchi, a prominent media personality, has called for the arrest of Prophet Jeremiah Fufeyin, founder of Christ Mercyland Deliverance Ministries (CMDM), accusing him of misleading Christians with dubious practices. On August 14, 2024, Buchi took to X to denounce Fufeyin, labeling him as a false prophet and a charlatan.

Buchi’s statement challenges the legitimacy of Fufeyin’s ministry, accusing him of being a “sorcerer” and “working with a familiar spirit” rather than being a genuine man of God. He condemned Fufeyin’s recent ventures, including the sale of ‘miracle’ products such as soap, water, and perfume, as manipulative business practices designed to exploit believers.

“We cannot tolerate charlatans tarnishing the name of Jesus and corrupting the perception of the church,” Buchi declared. He drew a parallel with Simon the Magician, who was rebuked by Peter for his deceitful ways, asserting that Fufeyin’s actions are similarly disreputable.

Prophet Jeremiah Fufeyin has recently faced criticism for launching a line of miracle products purported to offer solutions for business, marriage, and ministry. These products, which include water, soap, and perfume, have been marketed as having spiritual benefits, sparking controversy among critics and followers alike.

Buchi’s call for Fufeyin’s arrest reflects growing frustration among some Christian communities over the commercialization of faith and the proliferation of self-styled prophets whose practices are seen as undermining genuine religious teachings.
