The Ekiti State Police Command has taken swift action by arresting Kunle Ogunnusi, a resident of Oke-Ila, Ado-Ekiti, for the alleged severe and repeated assault of his 4-year-old son. The arrest was prompted by concerned community members who alerted authorities about the ongoing abuse.

Police spokesman, Mr. Sunday Abutu, detailed that the arrest followed a credible tip-off which led to immediate intervention by the police. During his interrogation, Ogunnusi admitted to the assaults, justifying his actions as attempts to discipline his son. However, investigations have exposed a disturbing pattern of behavior, with Ogunnusi reportedly using dangerous objects to beat his son over minor provocations.
