A 95-year-old Kenyan man, Ibrahim Mbogo, married his 90-year-old beloved, Tabitha Wangui, on Sunday in a white wedding ceremony, marking the culmination of a romance that began in 1960. The couple exchanged vows at a church in Mukurweini, a town located about three hours northeast of Nairobi.

Mbogo, reflecting on their long journey together, expressed the significance of their decision: “We fell in love in 1960 and have been together ever since. We wanted to solidify our union with a church wedding, acknowledging both our Kikuyu traditions and our Christian faith.”

Dressed impeccably for the occasion, the groom wore a sharp grey suit complemented by a silver tie, while his bride looked elegant in a white hat paired with a cream brocade jacket over a matching white outfit. The ceremony was a celebration of love and commitment that transcended time, with family and friends gathered to witness the couple’s enduring bond.

When asked about the secret to their long-lasting relationship, Wangui offered simple yet profound advice: “Respect your husband, and when you make mistakes, apologize and seek forgiveness. That’s how you live in harmony for so many years.”

The couple’s story is a testament to love’s enduring power, proving that true love knows no age limits and can flourish over decades. Their union, blessed by both tradition and faith, stands as an inspiration to all who hear their story.
