Reality TV star Josephine Ijeoma Otabor, popularly known as Phyna, has accused a Lagos police officer of allegedly stealing N3,000 from her car during a routine search. The incident reportedly occurred on Monday when Phyna was stopped by police officers for a search in Lagos.
Phyna, who won the seventh season of Big Brother Naija, claimed that the money went missing from her car’s pigeonhole shortly after the search began. She expressed her frustration on her social media platform, stating that the money mysteriously disappeared during the interaction with the police.
Taking to her X handle, Phyna wrote: “So today a policeman stole my 3k… while they were searching my car, there was 3k in my pigeonhole… and before I could blink, I didn’t see my 3k again because I didn’t give it to him.”
The reality star did not identify the specific officer involved, and the Lagos State Police Command has yet to respond to the allegations. The incident has sparked conversations online, with many expressing concerns about police conduct during searches.
