Imo State Governor, Hope Uzodimma, has called on All Progressives Congress (APC) aspirants for the upcoming local government elections to embrace unity and sportsmanship, emphasizing the importance of collective victory and inclusivity within the party. Addressing the 305 councillorship and 27 chairmanship aspirants at the APC secretariat in Owerri, Governor Uzodimma underscored the need for consensus-building and graciousness in both victory and defeat.

In a significant gesture of leadership, Governor Uzodimma proposed that the party refund the nomination form fees to aspirants who do not win their bids, ensuring a fair and supportive political environment. “This move prioritizes collective victory and accommodates both winners and losers, promoting a positive and collaborative political culture,” the governor stated.
