Victor Osimhen’s social media outburst, which targeted former Super Eagles coach Finidi George, remains unresolved as the Napoli striker has yet to issue an apology. The incident, which garnered widespread attention, involved Osimhen’s criticism of Finidi, sparking a heated exchange between the two football figures.
Finidi George, who now manages Rivers United in the Nigerian Premier Football League (NPFL), revealed that he attempted to reach out to Osimhen directly. “I sent him a message indicating that his reaction wasn’t appropriate,” Finidi told Nigeria Info FM. “I wanted him to understand that discussing me in such a manner, as if I had personally said something in an interview, was uncalled for.”
Despite Finidi’s efforts to address the situation privately, he has yet to receive a response from Osimhen. “From that point, I didn’t hear from him. I have moved on and wish everyone well. Only God will judge,” Finidi added.
