Controversial Nigerian singer, Portable, has expressed disappointment after meeting with Peter Obi, the 2023 presidential candidate of the Labour Party, during his recent visit to Edo State.

Obi, who was in Benin to show support for the Labour Party’s gubernatorial candidate, Olumide Akpata, crossed paths with Portable, who was also in the state for a show. A video circulating on social media shows the singer bowing respectfully as he greeted Obi near his car.

However, in a follow-up video, Portable voiced his frustration, claiming that Obi did not offer him any financial assistance during their meeting. The singer compared the experience to what he expected from President Bola Tinubu, stating that Tinubu would have given him money if they had met.
