Nollywood star and award-winning filmmaker, Funke Akindele, has graciously accepted a request from Big Brother Naija (BBNaija) Season 9 housemate, Wanni, to join her movie production team.
Wanni, during a conversation on the show on Wednesday, expressed her admiration for Akindele and Kunle Afolayan’s work, stating her desire to be a part of their movie projects. “Me, I want to be in Funke Akindele’s and Kunle Afolayan’s production. Funke Akindele is very big. The quality of her movies is top-notch, and she’s an OG in the game,” Wanni said.
The moment caught the attention of social media users, and one particular fan, Gloria Napier, took to X (formerly Twitter) to tag the renowned filmmaker, urging her to consider Wanni’s request. In response, Funke Akindele reshared the clip on her own X account, confirming her acceptance. She wrote, “Will be waiting. All the best dear,” sparking excitement among Wanni’s fans and followers.
