Federal Government College (Junior) Ijanikin, Lagos, has emerged victorious at the 6th edition of the ‘You Can Be Their Eyes’ Bible Quiz Competition, organized by the Bible Society of Nigeria (BSN). Represented by students Gideon Oghorodi and Ebenezer Ajayi, the school secured 70 points, surpassing seven other special schools in the competition.

The event, held in Lagos, was specifically designed to give visually impaired students an opportunity to showcase their knowledge of the Bible. King’s College Junior and Senior, Obalende, Lagos, claimed the first and second runners-up spots, scoring 55 and 40 points, respectively.

Gideon Oghorodi expressed pride in their achievement, noting that physical challenges should not limit one’s ability to succeed. The General Secretary of BSN, Pastor Samuel Sanusi, emphasized the importance of inclusivity, stating that BSN’s mission is to make the Bible accessible to all, regardless of physical or social barriers. He also urged Nigerians to support the physically challenged and foster inclusivity across all sectors of society.
