Human rights lawyer Femi Falana has revealed that he and his daughter have received death threats over a N10 million ‘presidential pardon’ allegation involving crossdresser Idris ‘Bobrisky’ Okuneye and social media influencer Martin ‘VeryDarkMan’ Otse.

The threats follow accusations from a leaked audio recording in which Bobrisky claimed that Falana and his son, rapper Falz, solicited N10 million to secure a presidential pardon for him while he was imprisoned. Falana has denied these claims, stating he has never accepted payment for such services.

Falana, speaking in an interview with Sahara Reporters, confirmed that some individuals threatened to burn down his office and harm his daughter if he pursued legal action against Otse. Despite the threats, Falana has vowed to continue the legal battle, emphasizing his commitment to justice.

“I laughed and told my daughter not to worry; I’ve taken up the matter. These individuals must understand where we are coming from,” Falana said, adding that he has fought more dangerous regimes and will not be deterred by these threats.

He reiterated that Falz, who has also been implicated, is a principled individual who has never been involved in seeking or offering financial favors for pardons. Falana expressed his frustration at the baseless nature of the allegations and vowed to clear his name in court.
