During a stern assessment visit to Gundumi village in the local government areas of Isa and Sabon Birni, Sokoto State, Minister of State for Defence Bello Matawalle delivered a sharp warning to bandits’ informants. Matawalle emphasized the necessity of fearing God and abandoning their deceptive acts or facing dire consequences.

Bello Matawalle expressed his concerns about the dwindling population and economic activity in Gundumi village, which was once a bustling hub. The village’s decline has been attributed to ongoing security challenges, which the Minister vowed to address by proposing the establishment of a military base to restore stability and economic growth.
