A Lagos State High Court in Ikeja has ordered social media critic Martins Vincent Otse, popularly known as VeryDarkMan, to immediately delete all defamatory videos targeting renowned human rights lawyer Femi Falana, SAN. The court also directed VeryDarkMan to refrain from making any further public statements about the Falana family.

This ruling follows allegations made by VeryDarkMan in September 2024, accusing Falana of facilitating a pardon for controversial cross-dresser Idris Okuneye, also known as Bobrisky. VeryDarkMan had leaked a voice recording suggesting Falz, the popular musician and lawyer’s son, played a role in Bobrisky’s release from jail.

In response, Falana and his family demanded an apology and retraction within 24 hours, which was ignored, prompting legal action. While Falana has resisted filing criminal charges, the court’s decision aims to put an end to the defamatory campaign against him.
