The Lagos State Police Command has arraigned two men, Chiagoziem Obi and Joseph Nkpokpo, before an Ojo Magistrate’s Court over allegations of stealing chairs valued at N9.6 million. The defendants face two charges: conspiracy and theft, which they both pleaded not guilty to.

The prosecution, led by Inspector Esther Adesulu, informed the court that the alleged offences took place on September 21 at Olojo Drive in Ojo, Lagos. The stolen items included 40 “Airport chairs,” valued at N9.6 million and owned by complainant James Uzomiwu. The offences violate Sections 287 and 411 of Lagos State’s Criminal Law of 2015.

Magistrate A. Alade granted the accused men bail, setting it at N1 million each, with two sureties. The case was adjourned to October 17 for further mention.
