Popular social media activist, Martins Otse, known online as VeryDarkMan, has officially filed a petition against Alex Ikwechegh, a Federal House of Representatives member from Abia State, after a video surfaced online showing the lawmaker allegedly assaulting an Uber driver and making chilling threats. The video, which has gone viral, shows Ikwechegh confronting the driver, Stephen Abuwatseya, during a heated altercation, during which he allegedly slapped the driver, threatened to “make him disappear,” and implied he would detain him in his personal generator room.

The petition, which details accusations of assault, abuse of power, attempted murder, and threat to life, has been signed by activist Deji Adeyanju on behalf of VeryDarkMan. It raises serious concerns about the lawmaker’s conduct, especially his alleged abuse of power and threatening demeanor.
