Popular Nollywood actress Regina Daniels recently opened up about her love life before meeting her now-husband, billionaire politician Ned Nwoko. Speaking candidly in a live session on Instagram, the actress revealed she had “about 20 boyfriends” before Nwoko came into her life. Interestingly, she first encountered the Delta North Senator during an outing with one of her ex-boyfriends. “I was actually angry about why we had to go sightseeing, but when we got there, I met this cute man,” she recalled with a laugh.
Daniels shared that despite people’s assumptions, her mother and entire family initially disapproved of her marriage to Nwoko due to their significant age gap. “People thought my mum pushed me, but she was actually against it. My whole family said no,” Daniels clarified. Ultimately, however, her decision prevailed, and the two wed in 2019 in a traditional ceremony in Delta State.
Reflecting on his choice to marry Daniels, Nwoko, who is 63, had previously noted the importance of finding a partner from his hometown, expressing that Daniels felt “just right” from their first meeting. Their relationship, marked by public interest and varying opinions, has grown, with the couple now raising their children together.
