Former Liverpool midfielder Dietmar Hamann has confidently backed the Reds to reclaim the Premier League title this season, citing their “brilliant” performances. Hamann also predicted that Manchester City, Arsenal, and Tottenham Hotspur would join Liverpool in the top four by the end of the campaign.
Speaking to Flashscore, Hamann praised Liverpool’s dominance at the top of the table, where they currently hold a five-point lead over second-placed Manchester City. “Liverpool will win the Premier League, Manchester City will come second, Arsenal third, and Tottenham fourth,” he said.
Hamann believes Liverpool’s experience and tactical acumen under Arne Slot have given them the edge. “Arne Slot looks like a great manager, and Liverpool are performing very well. I think, with their experience, they can secure the title this season,” he added.
He expressed skepticism about Arsenal’s ability to sustain their momentum. “Arsenal have played out of their skin in the last two seasons and still came up short. I’m not convinced they can improve further, especially against Manchester City and Liverpool,” Hamann stated.
Highlighting key factors in Liverpool’s favor, Hamann noted, “Apart from the Nottingham Forest game, Liverpool have been brilliant. Manchester City have lost Rodri, and Arsenal dropped points. I think Liverpool have a great chance to win the Premier League and go far in the Champions League.”
