Nollywood veteran Stephen Alajemba, popularly known as Uwaezuoke, has stirred debate with his controversial views on marriage. In a recent interview with Ugwumba TV, the actor declared that it is sinful for a man to marry fewer than three wives, citing both moral and safety reasons.

According to Uwaezuoke, men with only one or two wives are at risk of being poisoned due to potential conspiracies between spouses. He argued that having three or more wives creates a balance, ensuring that each spouse focuses on their individual interests, reducing conflicts.

“It’s a sin to marry one or two wives. But if you marry three or four, you will be free from sin. If you marry one wife, your life is at risk,” he stated. “If you marry two wives, they will conspire to poison you. But if you marry three or more wives, they will all be on their own, and you will only be providing for them.”

Uwaezuoke further explained his perspective using an analogy, saying, “The safety of the director is in the hands of the security,” implying that marrying more wives offers greater personal security for men.

His comments have sparked mixed reactions on social media, with some dismissing his views as outdated, while others have humorously supported his stance.
