Hon. Chike Amadichi, the Diaspora Chairman of the Labour Party, has announced his resignation from the party, citing personal reasons and a commitment to contribute to Nigeria’s leadership under the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC). Amadichi revealed his decision upon returning to Nigeria from London, declaring his readiness to join the APC alongside six serving Labour Party members of the House of Representatives and over ten other notable personalities.
In his resignation letter to Labour Party National Chairman Barr. Julius Abure, Hon. Amadichi thanked the party for the opportunity to serve and emphasized that his move follows extensive consultations aimed at enhancing Nigeria’s leadership and political landscape.
Speaking during a media chat in Abuja, Amadichi expressed his dedication to supporting Nigeria’s growth under President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s leadership. He also highlighted plans to galvanize his foreign partners to invest in Nigeria’s economy.
Political allies and associates have commended Amadichi’s bold move, expressing optimism about his future contributions to the APC and the nation. Known for his leadership, Amadichi successfully established over 12 Labour Party chapters in different countries during his tenure as Diaspora Chairman.
