Brazilian and Real Madrid forward Vinicius Junior has been crowned the FIFA Best Men’s Player, surpassing Ballon d’Or winner Rodri and teammate Jude Bellingham in a fiercely contested race.

The announcement was made during a star-studded ceremony in Doha, Qatar, celebrating global football excellence. Vinicius’ recognition comes after a stellar 2023-24 season, during which he played a pivotal role in Real Madrid’s triumphs in La Liga and the UEFA Champions League.

Expressing his gratitude, Vinicius reflected on his journey from the streets of São Gonçalo to global stardom. “It seemed impossible to get here, but this is for all the children who think they can’t achieve their dreams,” he said.
