Veteran Nollywood actor Yinka Quadri has spoken candidly about the emotional turmoil his family endured following false reports of his death that circulated in June 2023. The 65-year-old veteran expressed deep disappointment over the malicious rumors during an interview on Oyinmomo TV, highlighting the profound impact such misinformation can have on loved ones.

“When I saw the news, I said, ‘Well done, you content creators.’ No one would be happy when people spread death rumors about them,” Quadri lamented. “I leave the person behind the rumors to God’s judgment. If they think causing sadness in people’s families is an opportunity to attain success, then so be it.”

Quadri revealed that the false reports caused significant anxiety among his children, who reside overseas. “Despite the fact that my children are abroad and we communicate every three days, they were saying, ‘I still spoke to Daddy last week.’ It got to a stage where everybody became troubled. They started calling in the morning, afternoon, and again at night to confirm my well-being,” he shared.
