President-elect Donald Trump has pledged to prevent a potential World War III and bring an end to the ongoing war in Ukraine and the crisis in the Middle East. Trump made these remarks during a speech to his supporters ahead of his inauguration, set to take place at the United States Capitol Rotunda on January 20, 2025.
In his address, Trump warned of the dire state of global affairs, stating, “I will end the war in Ukraine, I will stop the chaos in the Middle East, and I will prevent World War III from happening. You have no idea how close we are.”
This historic inauguration marks the first time in 40 years that the ceremony will be held indoors. The decision to move the event to the Capitol Rotunda was prompted by an Arctic blast sweeping across the U.S., causing dangerously cold conditions. The last indoor inauguration was for President Ronald Reagan’s second term in 1985, also due to extreme weather.
“I don’t want to see people hurt or injured in any way,” Trump explained, adding that the traditional prayers, speeches, and his Inauguration Address would proceed indoors to ensure the safety of attendees.
Trump’s promises of resolving major global conflicts have drawn widespread attention, with many awaiting his leadership on critical issues like the Ukraine war and Middle Eastern tensions. His inauguration marks a pivotal moment as he prepares to lead the U.S. during a time of significant international unrest.
