Popular comedian Ayo “AY” Makun has set social media abuzz after admitting he may not be the best role model when it comes to maintaining a stable family life. The entertainer made this revelation on Tuesday while celebrating his brother, celebrity stylist Yomi Casual, who just turned 40.

Praising Yomi’s devotion to family, AY hinted at his own shortcomings, stating, “I may not have scored 100% in other responsibilities as a perfect example that is worthy of emulation when it comes to keeping the home front intact, but I’m proud to say the love and respect you [Yomi] have for the family is second to none.”

The self-assessment follows AY’s earlier admission of engaging in behaviors he wasn’t proud of during his marriage. In April 2024, he confirmed the end of his nearly 20-year union with wife Mabel Makun. Fans have since flooded his social media pages with messages, debating whether his honesty signals a bid for personal redemption or just a candid confession from one of Nigeria’s most celebrated entertainers.
