Speaking at an All Progressives Congress (APC) stakeholders’ meeting at the Katsina State Government House, Buhari attributed his improved health to the reduced pressures of governance, stating that many visitors have remarked on his healthier appearance.

During his time in office, Buhari faced persistent health challenges, often requiring medical treatment abroad, which fueled public concerns. Reflecting on his tenure, the former president acknowledged the immense complexities and difficulties of leading a nation like Nigeria, suggesting these responsibilities took a toll on his well-being.

“Those outside the corridors of power do not understand the complexities and difficulties facing Nigeria,” Buhari said. “My health has improved since leaving office. People who visited me told me I look better than before.”
