Veteran entertainer Charles Oputa, popularly known as Charly Boy, has advised Nigerian celebrities to keep their private lives away from public scrutiny, particularly when dealing with relationship or marital challenges.

Speaking in an interview with TVC, Charly Boy reacted to the ongoing marital crisis between 2Baba and Annie Idibia, expressing sympathy for the couple while emphasizing the need for discretion.

“I feel sorry for the couple [2Baba and Annie Idibia]. It’s unfortunate. But my advice would be, can we just keep our business private, away from the public?” he said.

The outspoken musician noted that while social media has changed the dynamics of celebrity life, personal issues should remain behind closed doors. He revealed that despite having disagreements with his wife, they always resolve their conflicts privately.

“If I were to stop living with my wife today, nobody would know about it. I won’t make noise about it,” he added.

His comments have reignited the conversation on whether celebrities should share their personal struggles with the public or handle them discreetly.
