Manchester United have officially completed the signing of highly-rated young defender Ayden Heaven from Arsenal, securing the 18-year-old on a long-term contract until June 2029, with an option for an additional year.
Heaven, who made his first-team debut for Arsenal earlier this season, has represented England up to the Under-19 level and is regarded as one of the country’s brightest defensive prospects.
Heaven’s First Words as a Red Devil
Expressing his excitement about the move, the young centre-back told Manchester United’s official website:
“I am incredibly proud to join Manchester United. I’m grateful to everyone who helped make this dream a reality. There is so much that I want to achieve in the game, and I’ll be giving everything to continue my development and become the best player that I can be.”
Immediate First-Team Inclusion
Unlike most young signings, Heaven will immediately join the first-team squad under manager Ruben Amorim, signaling that United see him as part of their senior setup rather than an academy prospect.
This transfer marks another step in United’s long-term defensive rebuild, as the club looks to add young, high-potential players to their squad.
