Renowned activist Vincent Martins Otse, popularly known as VeryDarkMan (VDM), has announced an independent investigation into serious allegations leveled by gospel singer Mercy Chinwo against her former manager, Ezekiel Thankgod, also known as Eezee Tee. Chinwo has accused Eezee Tee of fraud, forgery, and misappropriation of music royalties.
In a recent statement, VDM expressed his initial reluctance to delve into the matter but emphasized the necessity of uncovering the truth after a thorough analysis. He stated, “I will go find what I need to find. I have seen the claims and the counterclaims, and I want to know what really happened.”
Chinwo’s allegations include claims that Eezee Tee withheld her royalties for two years, attempted to coerce her into signing a 12-year contract, and orchestrated defamatory campaigns against her, including false rumors about her son’s paternity. She also accused him of creating a hostile environment that forced her to relocate from Lagos to Port Harcourt.
Eezee Tee has publicly refuted these allegations, asserting that he has never engaged in any form of intimidation or exploitation. He maintains that he has fulfilled all contractual obligations, including the payment of royalties, and has initiated legal action to protect his rights and reputation.
VDM has raised concerns about potential attempts to manipulate public perception through paid media narratives and has committed to conducting an impartial investigation. He emphasized the importance of transparency and accountability, stating, “I will analyze the full video. Some people may not be happy about it, but it is what it is.”
