In a swift operation, the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Police Command rescued 25-year-old Promise Eze from a suspected ritualist at a hotel in Abuja’s Wuse district. The victim, found unconscious with her hands and legs bound and mouth sealed with plaster, was promptly taken to Wuse District Hospital, where she was resuscitated.

Preliminary investigations revealed that Ms. Eze had met the suspect online, where he introduced himself as Michael Prince, claiming to be an oil company employee based in Delta State. After declining his initial invitation to Delta, they agreed to meet in Abuja. Upon meeting, the suspect, later identified as Emmanuel Okoro from Lagos State, allegedly threatened her with a dagger, restrained her, and fled with her two mobile phones. Before leaving, he was overheard informing accomplices of his intent to return and “finish the job.”
