In a tragic incident that has sent shockwaves through the local community, the owner of Dozzman Filling Station in Rivers State was reportedly shot dead while traveling to his hometown in Abia State. The businessman, whose identity has not been officially released, was ambushed by unidentified gunmen along a rural stretch of road notorious for such attacks.

Eyewitnesses report that the assailants intercepted the victim’s vehicle, opening fire and leaving him with fatal injuries. The motive behind the attack remains unclear, but authorities are investigating potential links to recent criminal activities in the region.

This incident adds to a growing list of violent occurrences in Rivers State. Recently, a businessman named Richard Nomanzi was found dead with multiple stab wounds at his residence in Ogbogoro, Obio/Akpor Local Government Area.  Additionally, the Chief Security Officer of Adokiye Amiesimaka International Stadium and his son were killed by suspected assassins at their family residence in Igwuruta-Ali community.
