The highly anticipated arraignment of Ezekiel Onyedikachukwu, former manager of gospel star Mercy Chinwo, has been postponed by a Federal High Court in Lagos due to unresolved administrative processes. Onyedikachukwu and his company, Eezee Tee, face multiple charges, including money laundering and dishonest conversion of $340,000, brought forward by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC).

During Thursday’s hearing, EFCC prosecutor Mrs. Bilikisu Buhari confirmed readiness to proceed, as did the defense team, led by senior legal counsels Mr. Chikaosolu Ojukwu, SAN, and Dr. Monday Ubani. However, presiding Judge Alexander Owoeye declined to take Onyedikachukwu’s plea, ruling that the trial could not commence until administrative issues were resolved.
