The artiste who openly condemned the corruption in the music industry has in no small way relented in trying to make her dream come true, regardless of how difficult it is to make it in the industry.
The ‘Are you ready’ crooner who featured on one of the hit tracks ‘Never walk away’ in a recently released Extended Play by rapper, Romy said her vocal power and versatility will be showing in the new project titled ‘Sweet Dream’, a slower version and cover for the same tittle by American pop star Beyonce.
Having been nominated for the Female Category of Otown Gist Personality of the Year Award, Floxy thanked everyone who voted for her as well as the organizers of the award for acknowledging her works to nominate her.
She said “One thing is to work, another is for people to appreciate what you are doing. I am grateful to everyone who took time to vote for me”
Floxy however explained why she had to do the cover of Beyonce’s Sweet Dream, saying “I have been in love with Beyonce and have always wanted to attain the level of success she has seen.
Sweet Dream is a wonderful track and of course, Beyonce has always been amazing anytime she releases a track. Singing a different version of the songs makes me feel like I am walking on the same paths with her and I also want to show that I can get close to my revered idol”
Sweet Dream will follow the same part Floxy’s much pain took as slow R&B tracks against her dance-hall hits Competition, I Gat You and Are You Ready.
