Nigeria stands a slim chance of winning this year’s Big Brother Africa’s star prize of 300,000 dollars following the exit of her representatives, Olamilekan Bakare and Christian Asekomeh from the competition.
Ola had to voluntarily leave the house following the aggravation of his health condition. He is said to be hypertensive. As a result of his exit, his partner, Chris also had to take his exit too.
The whole of downville housemates broke down in torrential tears on Friday when Ola broke the news of his impending exit to them. Presenter, Ik disclosed during last Sunday’s live show that Ola’s exit though sad was on the advice of BBA’s doctor.
Nigeria’s remaining representative, Susan Bimpe Harvey (a.k.a Goldie) seems not to be impressing viewers. Her conduct and seeming interest in Kenya’s Prezzo appear to be irritating viewers who have been calling for her eviction from the StarGame.
Nigeria won the last three editions of the BBA. And it has been expected that she would maintain the tradition.
Meanwhile, three more housemates were Sunday evicted from the show. They are Daphin from Sierra Leone, Luke and Yadel from Liberia. The exit of the Liberians means that the country is no longer in contention for the star prize.
But Sierra Leone still has the chance of winning following the upgrade of one of her representatives, Zainab to the upville section of the house. Zainab got 13 votes to remain in the game. She joins eight other housemates at the upville section.
Ik further disclosed that the housemates in the upville section would nominate one another this week for possible eviction, a clear departure to the nomination process used for the housemates of downville section.
They were nominated for eviction by a machine process.
However, he said the new housemate, Zainab would be exempted from nomination. He added that the housemates in the downville section would have a respite this week as there would not be any nomination for eviction in that section of the house.
The nomination in the upville section done on Monday saw Zambia’s Mampi, Nambia’s Lady May and Zimbabwe’s Maneta on the chopping block. From voting, it is likely that Maneta and Mampi would be evicted this Sunday while Lady May would still remain in the game.
Viewers have been expressing disgust at the conduct of Maneta and Mampi who they have branded gossips.
